West Hollywood, CA – May 25, 2010 /PRNewswire/ — LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A, Inc. (LG Mobile Phones) and well-known fashion enthusiasts Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria Parker teamed up for an exclusive “LG Fashion Touch,” event to celebrate personal style and LG’s handsets, LG Lotus Elite and LG Rumor Touch. Embracing each woman’s personal style, the event brought Victoria’s bold and edgy style to life with LG Lotus Elite while Eva’s more classic taste radiated through LG Rumor Touch. Available to Sprint customers nationwide, both handsets encourage users to flaunt their personal style through their mobile phones and feature distinctive front touchscreens as well as full QWERTY keypads.

Celebrities, stylists, industry professionals and fashion enthusiasts who embody the very essence of style arrived at the Soho House in West Hollywood, CA to walk the red carpet and attend the star-studded event. Those in attendance included Victoria Beckham, Eva Longoria Parker, Jessica Simpson, Ashlee Simpson, Vanessa Hudgens, Rachel Zoe, Anna Kendrick, January Jones, Gabrielle Union, Rashida Jones, Rosario Dawson, Kim Kardashian, Chloe Kardashian, and many more. Guests at the party received a hands-on demonstration of each handset and enjoyed an evening devoted to personal expression and stylish technology.

Associate Vice President of Consumer and Trade Marketing, Tim O’Brien, who attended the event, said, “LG Fashion Touch was the perfect example of how style and technology can come together to create something truly unique. We are honored to have partnered with Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria Parker on this campaign. In tune with how technology enhances their lives, Victoria and Eva brought a key understanding of how a handset can be an extension of an individual’s personal style. Enriching LG’s fashion heritage, LG Lotus Elite and LG Rumor Touch allow consumers to seamlessly blend fashion with an innovative mobile device.”

Other elements of the partnership included a print and online campaign, series of MTV vignettes and a consumer promotion. Shot by fashion photographer, Ellen Von Unwerth, the print ads featured Eva and Victoria posing with their respective phones while donning fashions reflective of their personal styles. The series of MTV vignettes, produced and directed by documentarist Doug Keeve, depict Victoria and Eva with up and coming fashion designers, Yotam Solomon and Oday Shakar. The designers were tasked with creating clothing designs inspired by the idea of expressing personal style in a technological and socially-connected world. Revealed at the event, the designers’ pieces proved that style and functionality can always go hand-in-hand. LG also created a Fashion Touch Style Quiz to engage consumers on the LG Fashion Touch Facebook page. By taking the quiz, consumers could find out which phone and style suited them best and were entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to win tickets to the event.

LG Lotus Elite is a second generation handset to the widely popular messaging device, LG Lotus. LG Rumor Touch is the newest handset in a long line of QWERTY successes including LG Rumor and LG Rumor². Both are available exclusively through Sprint.

Lindsay Lohan’s Trip to 63rd Cannes Film Festival

Lindsay Lohan

Fun loving American actress Lindsay Lohan was sighted at two exclusive luxury yacht parties at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival. The first was the Chopard 150th Anniversary Party at the Palm Beach, Pal Palm Beach, Pointe Croisette on May 17 and another one last Friday night on the 21st. Lindsay was at the Cannes for the publicity of Inferno the film in which she has been cast as Linda Lovelace the 70s porn star star of Deep Throat. But she returned to the United State the following day Saturday to face a legal case after a Angeles judge issued an arrest warrant for Lindsay Lohan last Thursday, because she failed to appear for a court hearing on her 2007 drink-driving case. Her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said she would have been at the hearing, but her passport was stolen in Cannes.

“The fact is she intended to be here today, she had a ticket to be here, her passport was stolen, she’s filled out a police report in Cannes and as far as I’m concerned she had a valid reason for not being here,” Holley said.

Lindsay had to pay a $100000 bail to avoid being jailed.

Grey Partners With Yoko Ono In Music Seminar At Cannes

Multimedia Icon to Discuss Her Innovative Music and Art, Branding and the State of Music Today

Yoko Ono

NEW YORK, May 21 /PRNewswire/ — Grey New York announced today that its fourth annual Music Seminar with Living Legends will feature Yoko Ono on Friday, June 25, at the Debussy. The 2010 Cannes event follows three years of high popularity for the Grey music seminar with legends Stevie Van Zandt in 2009, Tony Bennett in 2008, and John Legend and Donavan in 2007.

Yoko Ono is multimedia artist who constantly challenges the traditional boundaries of art, known for her groundbreaking conceptual and performance pieces, experimental films and music.

In Grey’s annual seminar on music and its place in marketing communications, Yoko Ono will discuss today’s music scene and the impact on brands and bands, her own adventurous music and performance art created over a high-profile lifetime, perhaps never as critically appreciated as it is today, and her extraordinary life with John Lennon and raising her musician son Sean Lennon.

Yoko will be interviewed by Tim Mellors, Worldwide Creative Director of Grey Group, and introduced by Josh Rabinowitz, Director of Music, Grey New York.

“Yoko Ono needs no introduction to anyone touched by the music scene for more than 40 years,” said Mellors, former President of the Cannes Festival and multiple Cannes Lion winner. “Her marriage to and influence on John Lennon is legendary. The famous ‘bed in’ in Amsterdam, and the interview from inside a bag were direct extensions of Yoko’s early art happenings in the Fluxus group. Her deep knowledge of the alternative music scene and people like John Cage, the founder of Fluxus, are seldom given the credit due for their influence on Lennon’s solo career.”

About music’s relevance to advertising, Josh Rabinowitz, who is also an adjunct professor at The New School said, “Advertising is a new form of the music label. The most popular song in America, as well as around the world, is as likely to come out of a brand’s advertising as it is from a record. It is a brave new world for musicians and Yoko Ono, who packs the room at 77 and won MOJO magazine’s 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award, has braved new frontiers over her entire life. She will no doubt provide a unique perspective on sustaining a brand both for musicians and marketers.”

International Endorsements for Eko Film Festival

International endorsements for Eko film festival

Hope Obioma Opara

With experiences and ideas gathered over the years while attending film festivals around the globe, Hope Opara is poised to host the first ever Eko international film festival between July 7 and 12, 2010. His passion and journey into the world of film festivals began in November 2008, when he attended the 30th edition of the Nantes film festival in France.

He later raised the stakes when he attended the 62nd edition of the Cannes Film Festival, and had a memorable encounter with super star actress, Angelina Jolie. He happily documented the life changing meeting in Supple magazine, which he started publishing and editing since August 2008, after six years experience as a successful printer.

Hope returned home with the motivation to launch a new film festival buoyed by the much publicized report of Nigeria as having the largest movie-making industry in Africa and the second largest in the world.

“A close associate of mine came up with the name: Eko International Film Festival. He posted it online in August 2009. By the following month, it was duly registered by me. Both of us had never undertaken any film festival project before now and knew definitely that we would be needing help.”

He eventually found a mentor in the person of Bruno Chatelin, co-founder of filmfestivals.com, a web portal launched in 1995. Bruno was in charge of the launch of over 250 films during his tenure as Marketing Director and Managing Director for Columbia TriStar Films and Twentieth Century Fox.

After meeting Bruno in Paris, they sealed a deal that makes filmfestivals.com a media partner to Eko international film festival, a feat Opara described as an unprecedented morale booster that would help realize his dream of turning his festival into a world-class gathering of movie people.

To network and gather more experience for his forthcoming festival, Opara returned again to Europe for the Rotterdam International Film Festival in the Netherlands, as well as the 60th edition of the Berlinale, in Germany. “I now feel convinced that I could put together a successful world-class film festival.”

Hardworking Opara had this to say on funding: “We are making sacrifice towards raising the needed funds for Eko International film festival, and what we need most is money to host the filmmakers and accredited journalists and enough to rent the halls we would need to screen selected films.
We need over a million dollars to make this dream of a mega film festival a reality.
We have started the fund-raising drive. We are seeking the cooperation and support of local and international sponsors. We have attracted the interest of some Nigerian banks and we expect to close deals with some prospective sponsors shortly,” he explained.

Interestingly, news of the forthcoming festival is currently spreading within and outside Nollywood, especially on the internet and Hope Opara is upbeat. “Eko international film festival will provide exciting new business and tourism opportunities. It’s going to be great fun for filmmakers and lovers of films in Nigeria and many thousands of film aficionados coming from outside our shores. The festival will definitely be a plus for Nollywood and Nigeria… For more info, kindly visit our site, www.ekoiff.com”

Naomi Campbell Breaks Down On Oprah Winfrey Show

naomi-campbell-picture-1

Black British supermodel Naomi Campbell broke down on the Oprah Winfrey Show and confessed that she regretted all her tantrums and her unfortunate victims, from her housekeeper Ana Scolavino to her limousine driver.

“I am ashamed of everything I’ve ever done,” she confessed.
Her mother Valerie Morris blamed herself for the irrational mood swings of her famous daughter.
“I was 19 when I had Naomi. I was a single mum, a father and mother. I wanted the best for my daughter, and I left Naomi to work to give her a better life,” Morris said as Naomi sobbed.

Naomi also blamed her addiction to drugs for her lack of self control. She said cocaine is a devil’s drug.
Well, Naomi’s billionaire lover Vladimir Doronin of Russia is not complaining and he can afford all the luxuries she wants and we hope sniffing cocaine will never be seen in her closets again.

Naomi+Campbell+Vladimir+Doronin+Relaxing+Beach+-BsVZ8wtxuNl

Naomi Campbell is on an extreme detox diet of maple syrup mixed with cayenne pepper, lemon juice and water for as long as 18 days to maintain her sexy physique that makes her look younger than her almost 40 years on earth. Her fitness expert is her Russian boyfriend. But Emily Hill of the Guardian calls it mad diet, because starving yourself could lead to serious complications such as Naomi Campbell’s scandalous temper tantrums. These extreme diet regimes affect the moods like drugs.
Hill listed the following celebrities on similar regimes

– Cheryl Cole eats according to her blood-type – it’s called the Eat Right 4 Your Type diet

– Kirsten Dunst’s diet consists 70% alkaline foods and 30% acid.

– Jennifer Aniston takes a glass of freshly squeezed lemon juice first thing every morning and on a new baby food diet.

– Liz Hurley lives on a bowl of cabbage soup a day.

– Megan Fox indulges in a cider vinegar cocktail.

“Campbell needs to put the syrup away and embrace the bread basket,” Hill said.

Detox regimes and hot temper tantrums aside, Naomi Campbell is already planning a fashion for relief charity show for the benefit of Haiti. She is bringing designers, models and celebrities together to raise funds for the rehabilitation of the displaced people in Haiti as she did after the 2005 Hurricane Katrina.

Freedom of Movement

The Quinny Senzz gives you plenty of freedom of movement. Thanks to its lightweight, compact size and exceptional user-friendliness, the Quinny Senzz can be easily taken on any public transport. It is manoeuvrable enough for an entire day of shopping and, due to its small dimensions, is never an obstacle. With the Quinny Senzz, you can go about your daily routine without any hassles and enjoy all those things that make urban living so appealing. Indulge in your dynamic lifestyle, while your child enjoys the ride.

Nice and Easy

The Quinny Senzz was designed by industrial designers at the top of their field. Their efforts have resulted in a state-of-the-art buggy that can be folded with one hand and that remains upright when folded – unlike most other buggies on the market that must be stored horizontally. You can fold or unfold the Quinny Senzz in an instant while carrying your toddler on your hip – without any irritation or hassle. The Quinny Senzz can be easily carried with one hand thanks to the convenient handle.

Trendy Look & Feel

To give the Quinny Senzz its unique look & feel, our team of designers and stylists worked with high-quality materials in five surprising colour combinations. The Quinny Senzz is made of an oval-shaped frame of flat tubes and a seat of soft yet dirt-resistant bicolour material in a combination of light grey and a vivid colour. The Quinny Senzz comes with a sun canopy, raincover, handy shopping basket and adapters for attaching a Maxi-Cosi infant car seat. As can only be expected, a matching footmuff, parasol and parasol clip are also available as accessories.
